What Love Movement (LM) believes
Love Movement (LM) believes that The Holy Scriptures, as originally given by God, are divinely inspired, infallible, entirely trustworthy, and constitute the only supreme authority in all matters of faith and conduct. There is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Our Lord Jesus Christ is God manifest in the flesh; we affirm his virgin birth, sinless humanity, divine miracles, vicarious and atoning death, bodily resurrection, ascension, ongoing mediatorial work, and personal return in power and glory. The salvation of lost and sinful humanity is possible only through the merits of the shed blood of the Lord Jesus Christ, received by faith apart from works, and is characterized by regeneration by the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit enables believers to live a holy life, to witness and work for the Lord Jesus Christ. The Church, the body of Christ, consists of all true believers. Ultimately God will judge the living and the dead, those who are saved unto the resurrection of life, those who are lost unto the resurrection of damnation. -Love Movement adheres to EFC’s statement of faith.
What is (LM) and how does it work?
LM is a movement of God’s people embracing the Great Commandment in order to be equipped to fulfill the Great Commission. When a group or individual registers and commits to doing the Love Movement Take Action Video Series, they are encouraged to write to Love Movement and share how they are taking action in their community to be the hands and feet of Jesus. Participants then have the opportunity to be featured on Love Movement’s television series, Love is Moving.
LM Approach & Impact
The Love Movement Take Action Video series and companion television series, Love is Moving are the two primary tools that Love Movement offers. These media tools based in scriptural truth are designed to revive a Biblical understanding of love. Participants are empowered to live out their faith more vibrantly by sharing God’s love in word and deed. Engagement in daily prayer, relationship building (growing closer to God and others), Biblical literacy, global evangelism, culture making and daily acts of kindness are results that Love Movement have produced to date. From 2011 to 2013, 3500 youth have been reached in person with Love Movement’s Take Action Video Series through youth groups, school presentations, events, and conferences. 800 Love Movement workbooks have been distributed across Canada. Love Movement videos have been viewed over 8,800 times online and 3731 people are following Love Movement through social media channels.
