  1. I baked some cookies for a boys’ group home the other week. These boys live away from their Moms and Dads and I always felt so lucky as a child to come home to freshly baked cookies.

They recently sent me a card with all their signatures in it, thanking me and some other Moms for the cookies they have when they get home from school. It felt good to pass along the sentiment that was instilled in me from my own Mom. 🙂

  2. THIS IS NOT AN ACT OF LOVE, BUT I AM HOPING IT WILL TURN INTO ONE.
MY SON, JAMES 42, IS VERY ILL WITH A DISEASE OF THE LUNGS, WHICH IS
CALLED SCARCOYD. HE IS ON OXYGEN AMOST ALL THE TIME, BUT YET HE
CONTINUES TO WORK AND MAKE IT THRU EACH DAY.

HIS DOCTOR HAS PUT HIM ON THE LIST FOR A DOUBLE LUNG TRANSPLANT. IT
WILL BE VERY COSTLY, FOR ALL THE TESTS AND SURGERY, PLUS HAVING TO
TO STAY IN PA. FOR THE WHOLE TIME. HE ALSO WILL HAVE TO HAVE A CARE
GIVER STAY AND LEARN HOW TO TAKE CARE OF HIM.

IF EVER THERE WAS A TIME TO GIVE SOME LOVE AND HELP, PLEASE
LET IT BE FOR JAMES. YOU ASK ANYONE WHO KNOWS HIM, AND THEY WILL TELL
YOU THAT HE IS ALWAYS THERE FOR ANYONE.

THANK YOU FOR YOUR TIME, IF YOU HAVE ANY IDEAS ON HOW I CAN GET SOME
HELP FOR MY SON, PLEASE LET ME KNOW.

    A VERY WORRIED MOM,
    KATHY ATEN
